In the article ”Grant and Lee: a study in contrast” Bruce Cotton informs in a narrative way that Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee have something important in common even though they are a lot different from each other. On the one hand, as article examines, Robert E. Lee doesn’t like change and is from those of aristocrats. On the other hand, Ulysses S. Grant who Bruce Cotton reports, was tough and lover of equality and democracy. But, they both have the ability to reconciliate for peace once the war is over

One of the Factors that cause one choose a religion

Our native language, culture, specific manners, habits and skills are all generally learnt and practiced with our family. I believe learning religion is one of the items from the list of all what we learn from our family in our life too. So, one of the main factors behind one choosing a religion in his/her lifetime is family.

When you look around, you usually find people with strong faiths whose families are very strong in practicing what ever they believe. I don’t mean that all the people with strong faiths have parents with strong practice. We can find people who have just converted to a religion and they have a strong faith or they practice it in a very good way. But, most of the people you see have their parents believes. As an example: Countries with Muslim parents have the most Muslim Children. Countries with Hindu Parents have the most Hindu Children and even if parents believe in a specific creed of a religion children generally follow their parents. In Islam we believe as its narrated from Mohammad (SAW) that: Each child is born in a state of "Fitrah", then his parents make him a Jew, Christian or a Zoroastrian, the way an animal gives birth to a normal offspring.

As a conclusion we can say that family is one of the major factor of a child’s future. So, we should try our best to control our acts and habits because believe it or not it plays a remarkable role in our child’s future.

Las Positas College

One thing i like about Las Positas College is its location. Being in the hills and close to so many cities adds to benefits of Las Positas College. having not so many residential houses around is another good thing about Las Positas College. In Afghanistan, I used to study at Kabul University which is located in the heart of crowded and noisy Kabul, capital of Afghanistan. I always love to study in a quiet are and spend my breaks looking at green hills. That is why I like the location of Las Positas College.

First impression looking at a random resume

My First Impression looking at the resume was negative. When you look at the education part of the resume you read Art and Environmental Biology. But, the experience part of the resume talks about maintenance worker and technician. I believe that it will be very effective if our education part of the resume matches the work experience part.

"Itch of the haydust..."

"Itch of the haydust in the sweaty shirt and shoes." In this part of the peom by the poet " Gary Snyber" uses the word itch and explains how the haydust and sweat itchs. To kind of make us imagine what he means. What it adds to the poem is to make it more understandable. Some people easily understand by reading, but there are people who need more than one sense of them involved in order to understand something more.
